I think I am still recovering from the busyness of the weekend, well and perhaps, a little bit too much food. But, I’m back in the office with laundry started and house straightened knowing I’ll be at the gym today if not for the treadmill than the 5:40 Pilates class. Work dat core!

• tomorrow is Poetry Hickory which starts at 6:30 with three open mike readers (pre-signed up) and then two featured readers which this month include John Amen who founded Pedestal magazine. From 5-6 you can stop by the coffee house for a writer’s meet up which sometimes involves sharing of places to send your work but can also be about critiquing. Nice group.
• Thursday is my regular monthly Open Mike at Jackson’s Java. 8pm!
• On Saturday there is an event I keep meaning to get to! It’s one of the meetings of the NC Poetry Society. I finally joined this year (reasonable membership fee).  This is an event that takes place from about 10-2 with lots of readings and discussions of poetry. Sounds like a fun event for poetry and networking but I was out of town this last Saturday for Poetry Council of NC sooooo. Decisions!
• New issue of Wild Goose Poetry Review is up. You’ll notice my name is listed on the front page because I am going to be helping Scott some with upcoming issues. In this issue is a review of my chapbook The Wait of Atom. I still have some copies, btw, that I can sign if anyone still feels the need for one!
• Speaking of my little books. I always feel a bit guilty mentioning them but I’m happy to let you guys know that if you ordered Paper House before March 5th you will be getting a signed copy! For those of you who haven’t pre-ordered yet you can do so before March 25th with there being two options. One allows you to get the book for $10 unsigned the other $12 signed! Considering the cover price is $12 you are getting free shipping on both! Signed cost a bit more because of extra shipping to get the book from publisher to me and then back out to you.
