Video Tuesday

First up is Me where I discuss Understanding Comics by Scott McCloud a terrific graphic novel that discusses the history of comics as well as the artistry. There is a lot in here that can be applied across the genres.

Next up on Video Tuesday is John Hartness. John has his own website, his own YouTube site now and has started The Red Dirt Review. Bask in his awesomeness:

Had a lot of videos that could have fit into the third spot this week, but I think I want to pull a fond memory from Shape of a Box and share a poem that, I hope, honors our African American fellow citizens:

  1. I had a brief fling with comic books, but have thought about checking them out again. Curious about Gene Simmons son’s comic books, how he is doing?

Great idea about usage of the format, etc… I actually still have my one and only poem I wrote in the sketch I made of the American Flag, and I wrote in specific areas, I felt it was a good medium for what I was saying. Symbolism.

I want to make a joke about the dryer in the background, like a line from one of my poems when I had my health food cafe and during open mic the juicer would be on just as someone would begin to read…carrot apple beat’s and greens, hip hop…

Loved John, thanks for sharing him and also Helen. Discovery Tuesday, Yeah!

I came home from my friends house with three books Sunday…weather says snow, my thermometer says read!

  2. Hi Jessie
I watched your video and you did a great job :)
Time for me to get dinner started so no time to watch the other videos.

Oh, thank you for the nice comment today.
    I really appreciated it :)

    Margie :)
