Alright everybody! It is MONDAY!
- Poet Pat Riviere-Seel will be the reader/speaker at Charlotte Writer’s Club North in Davidson NC on Feb 4th at 7pm. Pat is just terrific and I loved her last chapbook The Seriel Killer’s Daughter.
- Poet Carol Peters has a nice blog site with regular postings of poetry and topics about poetry.
- Shout out for myself, or at least for my new venture Referential Magazine. Check the links and tabs at the top for more info, guidelines as well as a blog and Facebook Fan page. Submissions are already rolling in and we have over 100 fans already on Facebook! I still miss Shape of a Box but glad to be starting a project I’ll be able to do!
- Just finished reading the first issue of the Southern Women’s Review. I was in the first issue along with a wonderful group of writers. They are accepting new work in March.
- Another book I finished reading was the chapbook A White Girl Lynching by Elizabeth P Glixman. It was released by Pudding House (who published my first chapbook). These are poems that ask you to rethink your preconceived prejudices or notions. They want you to look closely.
This week I’ll have the normal Video Tuesday (need to like make the video!), Thursday Poem Share and Friday Wrap-up. Not sure what the other three posts for the week will be yet. I have several requests for topics which I am VERY glad about. Always feel free to leave suggestions.
Have a great week everyone!
